Le Laboratoire

Le Laboratoire is a playground of ideas where science meets art or art meets science.

The concept of Le Laboratoire is this:

Le Laboratoire is a contemporary art and design center in central Paris, where artists and designers experiment at frontiers of science. Exhibition of works-in-progress from these experiments are frequently first steps toward larger scale cultural humanitarian and commercial works of art and design.

Above is an image from Artist Ciro Najle’s crochet model of cummulus clouds based on his research around fog collecting devices. Below is a smattering of images from various projects. Many of the projects have a textile biomechanical component and all are intellectually stimulating. I encourage you to visit the website. I, for one, wish I could hop on a plane right now to visit.
